We build unexpected connections. We work with theatre, visual and performing arts to create projects that enhance corporate cultural heritage
An original format developed by aiku as a model of collaboration between theatre companies and enterprises for the development of dramaturgies and theatrical performances that tell the story of corporate culture in an innovative way, capturing its different facets and components.
A cross-sectoral dialogue that encourages the exchange of knowledge and approaches, an opportunity to get to the heart of cultural production by going beyond the traditional mechanisms of one-way sponsorship and patronage.
Theatre and creative writing residencies
Together with the company, we plan theatre and creative writing residencies within industrial spaces, reconditioning conventional production areas into places of artistic creation. In direct dialogue with everyday company processes, artists-in-residence come into contact with the environment, generating new imagery, creating contaminated processes and new dramaturgies, potentially to be staged as ‘corporate theatre’ performances.
Theatre courses for companies
As moments of confrontation and investigation during theatre residencies or specifically planned together with companies, we offer theatre courses, public speaking courses, courses to increase body awareness and harmony between employees, strengthening internal relations within organisational groups and taking care of interpersonal listening. Corporate theatre courses in cooperation with accredited professional theatre companies are developed by placing the person at the centre, promoting lateral visions and revolutionary processes underlying every innovative act.
Theatre for understanding implicit organisational strategies
Theatre helps us metaphorically and operationally to understand the implicit processes underlying organisations, becoming an effective tool for analysing and representing complex systems, such as those that characterise corporate contexts.
Corporate theatre is therefore also a research method for studying social interactions in organisations, like a questionnaire, an interview, a database, a mapping. An action of exploration aimed at rereading and reinterpreting appearances and stereotypes, closely linked to the dimension of innovation of logical-managerial-functional processes.
Networking and mutual enhancement
Thanks to various consolidated experiences in the sector, we systematise corporate theatre projects in festivals and reviews by creating new connections between companies, communities and institutions. These initiatives aim to present the company as an active cultural actor on the territory able to express its responsibility towards the community.
