The future has ancient roots. Modern forms for a timeless tale where “beautiful and good” coincide.

Villa Sandi, a historical and artistic heritage of the Treviso lands dating back to 1622, is now the representative headquarters of the winery of the same name owned by the Moretti Polegato family.

The inescapable cultural element, visible right from the logo, is an integral part of the restitution of meaning that links the company to the history of the territory. Thanks to the PIC-Patrimonio Industriale Contemporaneo (Contemporary Industrial Heritage) project, Villa Sandi has made a path of study and reflection on the enhancement of its spaces starting from the potential generated by audio-visual narration as a strategic tool for heritage promotion.

Thanks to the artistic intuition and creative direction of D20 Art Lab, the way of narrating the spaces of the centuries-old underground cellars where Metodo Classico Opere Trevigiane rests, the fulcrum of the company’s identity and cultural heritage, was therefore rethought, with the aim of creating communication channels capable of emotionally involving the viewer.

From a fruitful and silent exchange of ideas, integrated with the most modern digital solutions, was born the site-specific audiovisual installation entitled “Time reflections, which comes to life with the ‘intent to make visible the layering of time and knowledge involving the ecosystem of wine production.
The reflecting and multiplying image, inspired by one of the masters of video art such as Bill Viola, expresses the taking shape of the finished product through the successive stages: from the terroir to the goblet.
