Cultural matchmaking platform for event organisers, artists and audiences
ARTVision+, an Interreg Italy-Croatia project, aimed at activating an innovative promotion of tourist products through an IT platform, created to connect artists and organisers of tourist activities (museums, theatres, tourist offices, etc.) thus facilitating the joint realisation of cross-border initiatives and events.
The project focused on involving lesser-known destinations and increasing their visibility and tourist awareness, as opposed to the classic tourist promotion directed towards better known and stereotyped destinations. This was done by presenting the cultural heritage of these places to tourists and by promoting virtuous and quality cooperation between emerging artists and organisers of the tourist offer.
The aim of the project was to use the value and potential of culture as a driver for the development of sustainable tourism. Thanks to tourism, lesser-known destinations became more visible through the prism of culture and the involvement of artists, and an IT platform was created as a functional and simple communication channel between artists and organisers of tourist activities.
